Avast Home Edition: Free Antivirus Solution for non commercial users

Hey folks, finally we get a free anti virus solution for our personal desktops other than ofcourse the famous AVG antivirus which is I suppose known for detecting the antivirus for once but never healing them permanently. Avast is bringing you Avast antivirus free of cost for non commercial users. Avast Home Edition 4.7.1098.80207 as it is known as has a smart interface and is a complete ICSA & Checkmark certified antivirus. Avast includes the following components: On demand scanner with skinnable simple interface, just select what do you want to scan in which way and press the Play button; On access scanner, special providers to protect the most of available e-mail clients; Instant messaging--ICQ, Miranda; Network traffic--intrusion detection, lightweight firewall; P2P protection for Kazaa, BitTorrent; Web shield--monitors and filter all HTTP traffic; NNTP scanner--scans all Usenet Newsgroup traffic and all operations with files on PC; Boot time scanner--scans disks in the same way and in the same time as Windows CHKDSK does.
I guess rather than checking out the details and components and all boring stuff, I guess you would just like to know does it work??? Well it does work and most of all its FREE. So go ahead and give it a shot.
All you need to do is register with avast which hardly takes a minute depending on how fast you type your email address (Trust me they are professionals and wont send you spams, they just need it to send you the registration code for free) and thats it. You are ready to use it.
